The Project.
At Rectory Green, Prestwich, JB Roofing delivered a year-long flat-to-pitch conversion across seven apartment blocks, transforming approximately 6,000 m² of ageing flat roofs into durable, pitched systems. Working with complex Dibsa structural frameworks, our team engineered a high-performance solution that improves drainage, extends roof life and elevates the estate’s overall appearance. The finished scheme features crisp hips and valleys, precise detailing and a consistent, low-maintenance finish suited to long-term residential use.

Before We Began.
The existing flat roofs were approaching end-of-life, with increasing risk of water ingress and rising maintenance costs. The programme demanded careful planning on an occupied site, compounded by scaffolding constraints and architectural drawing coordination. Integrating new pitched structures over multiple blocks while maintaining access, safety and weather protection—required robust sequencing, temporary works and close collaboration with the design team.

Completed Work.
All seven blocks now benefit from a full flat-to-pitch conversion using Dibsa sub-structures, new pitched build-ups and refined hip and valley geometry for reliable drainage and strong wind resistance.
