The Project.
At Bridge Street, we delivered a full structural and waterproofing upgrade across four roof elevations and two gutters. Following a controlled strip-out of failed materials, we rebuilt key elements including new rafters and a valley gutter, and installed Polyroof Protec for a fully bonded, long-lasting waterproof lining. The works paved the way for new slate roofs throughout, combining robust performance with a smart, sympathetic finish.
Learn about the process we followed from start to finish below.
Before We Began.
Extensive deterioration had left the roof and gutters structurally compromised. We found severely rotted rafters and a failing gutter system, with a central section serving three elevations that demanded careful sequencing and temporary weathering to protect the businesses below. A full removal of defective materials was essential to restore integrity and prepare the deck for new coverings.

Completed Work.
With the structure rebuilt and the valley gutter formed, we applied Polyroof Protec resin to create a seamless, durable waterproof layer, then installed new slate coverings to all elevations for a cohesive, heritage-appropriate look. The result is a structurally sound, leak-free roofing system that enhances kerb appeal and reduces ongoing maintenance.
